Bryant Park is a city park behind the New York Public Library. The lawn is lush and green and the flowers change seasonally. Bring your date to stretch out, dine al fresco, chat on the lawn or listen to the music in this beautiful garden.

This park has everything.  Beautiful Monument? Check.  Large Fountain?   Check.  Performance artists? double check.  You and your date can soak in the sights and there is almost always some sort of political movement or performance going on.  There are puppeteers and bubble blowers.  Dancers and musicians.  Maybe try your hand against some of the chess experts in the park.

Sit by the fountain or go and sit in the grass and relax.  You are sure to have interesting things to see and talk about as you enjoy Washington Square Park.  Park Website   This park is lively at any time of day and is open til 1 AM.  The people watching here is amazing!

Zenchai Matcha Cafe specializes in, you guessed it, Matcha.  This is an adorable shop with a huge downstairs ares.  Plenty of seating and delicious matcha.  This is a quirky run shop by two friends from business school.  The vibe is super chill.  One of the walls is has an elaborate wallpaper illusion done in green chalk by artist Rajiv Surendra aka Kevin G from “Mean Girls”.  Kevin G’s Calligraphy site

Perfect date to try something new, and for those matcha lovers this quirky place does it right!!

On your way – stop at the vintage candy store in service since the 1930s Candy Store Show your date you know weird hole in the wall places like a true New Yorker!

TIP: In the summer they leave the windows open and it is pretty glorious.
