This place is delicious. A Kati Roll is basically an Indian burrito. The perfect place to stop in for a quick bit with your date. This is a must do attraction in NYC. The preserved tenement houses have guides to walk you through the apartments and businesses of actual New York historic buildings. These are real Lower East Side immigrant stories and seeing them in person brings them to live. The guide is knowledgeable and great at answering any questions you may thing of.
This will give you and your date plenty to talk about as you learn how immigrants lived when the came searching for a better life. To hear their actual words and touch things they touched is inspiring.

Want to start of your date with an aphrodisiac? Come in to FISH and you and your date will have a wonderful time. Its an adorable place in the West Village and they have a really great all day special. The Red White and Blue. This is one of the cheapest way to eat oysters in the city. Their other seafood is also reasonable priced and the atmosphere is romantic and rustic.
Economy Candy opened in 1937 and some of the same candies they sold then are available now! The selection is incredible along with cute little gift ideas and candies waiting to be sampled. Take your date through a sea of candy and then maybe off to a movie or the park. Perfect for the young and young at heart and of course those with a sweet tooth.

Crossing the Brooklyn Bridge is a must. Its a national historical landmark! The architecture is stunning and the views jaw dropping. It is such a cute outing to share with someone special. There is a special walkway just for pedestrians and this wooden marvel is meant to be trodden upon. So cross history and then have an ice cream in Brooklyn. If you don’t wanna walk back you can take the subway or hop on the ferry for an addition $2.75. Ferry Info
The bridge is 1.39 miles so expect about an hour to cross. That’ll give you time to meander and to take some photos.
TIP: The bridge is less crowed at night and very safe. It doesn’t close until midnight.
Hamilton Heights has a lot of cute bars and if you happen to be looking during the hours of 4-7 definitely go and find UPTOWN BOURBON — this adorable little bar with stellar prices. Great tunes. Great atmosphere. Great staff. Very laid back energy. Come for a great Hamilton Heights Happy Hour!
Zenchai Matcha Cafe specializes in, you guessed it, Matcha. This is an adorable shop with a huge downstairs ares. Plenty of seating and delicious matcha. This is a quirky run shop by two friends from business school. The vibe is super chill. If you are in the mood for some delicious buns (and who doesn’t like nice buns?)look no further. Shanghai Asian Mannor. The steamed buns are divine, but don’t neglect the pan fried pork dumplings. Those puppies are also quite satisfying. Its a bit off the beaten path, but they know how to steam a bun!
Maribelle’s in SOHO is a romantic cozy European style chocolate house. They sell high end chocolates and beautiful gift sets. Don’t let this intimidate you. Head to the back and ask for a table. Order a hot chocolate and sip the decadence as you converse with your date. The beautifully styled cafe will dazzle your eyes and the thick non-dairy hot chocolate will make your taste buds dance.
TIP: Try the spicy hot chocolate if you are adventurous, or I recommend the Aztec for a less daring palate.
